Mishka Hoosen won the ‘Best story’ award in the 2017 Short Sharp Stories anthology for her story “Wedding Henna”. Mishka is She is now working on her second novel.

Mishka Hoosen was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed High School at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, USA, and did an MA in Creative writing at Rhodes University in South Africa. She’s currently working on a book about the emotional and intellectual appeal of perfume, conducting research in Paris on an IFAS residency.
