Ashti Juggath grew up on the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal North Coast. Often during school holidays, she spent time with her grandparents in Springs on the East Rand, the predominant setting for her first novel. She has a Master’s degree in Pharmacy and works as a pharmacist for a large corporate in the City of Gold. Peaches and Smeets is her first novel, which she wrote believing that the stories of the past needed to be captured for posterity. Ashti currently lives in a leafy suburb in Johannesburg with her husband, three children and many books.
