Lutivini Majanja

Lutivini Majanja is a fiction and non fiction from Kenya. Her work has appeared in Transition, McSweeney’s, New Orleans Review, Jalada, The Elephant, Popula, Down River Road, Adi Magazine, Obsidian, Best Microfiction and elsewhere. Her writing has been translated into Swedish and Ndebele, and featured in the Nipe Story podcast.

 

Lutivini Majanja has been a speaker at the inaugural StorySosa live journalism and storytelling, the 2023 Macondo Literary Festival, and the 2023 Nairobi International Book Fair. She participated in the 2021 Oral History and Literature Research Seminar of the Open Society University Network Eastern Africa Research Hub, and was a 2022 Visiting Researcher at Centre for Art Design and Social Research Un-Writing Nature Residency in Spoleto, Italy. She  has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Maryland, College Park.
